click to view image   Conduit Road Schoolhouse. The one-room clapboard schoolhouse, built in 1874, is located on what is now MacArthur Boulevard in the western neighborhood of Palisades. The structure served as a school until 1928.

click to view image   This and the eleven photographs below depict homes in Palisades. The images were photographed on September 18, 2011 with a single roll of Kodak Tri-X 400 black-and-white film using a Leica R9 camera with 15mm Super-Elmarit lens.
click to view image   Early homes in Palisades were often located by roads that had originated as trails along streams. Fenced ramps or walkways still cover remnants of streambeds.
